Home Insurance and Payment
Dental insurance and Medicaid in Dallas
Whatever your situation, there is a route to getting the work done. In network, out of network, Medicaid, CHIP, no insurance at all, or paying over time. Here is exactly how each one works here.
In network with most major PPO plans
These are the ten our insurance page names. Their page lists 200+ carriers in total. These ten are the ones it names as in-network.
- Delta Dental
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Cigna
- Guardian
- Humana
- MetLife
- United Concordia
- United Healthcare
- Dentamax
Not on the list? Call (469) 981-1700 with your plan name. We file with more than 200 carriers, so being absent here does not mean we cannot bill yours.
We take Medicaid and CHIP
A lot of Dallas dental offices will not, which is why families drive across the city for an appointment. We are in Bishop Arts on West Davis, and we accept both.
Bring your card to your first visit. The front desk verifies coverage before any treatment is planned, so nobody finds out at the end what was or was not covered.
Out of network? You are probably still covered
Out of network with us? Most plans still cover a checkup and cleaning. We check your benefits before you sit down, so there is no surprise at the desk.
No insurance? We run our own plan
No insurance at all? The in-house membership plan covers cleanings, exams and x-rays for a flat monthly amount, with 20% off everything else.
Cleanings, exams and routine x-rays from $30 a month, no deductibles, no waiting periods and no annual maximum. It is a membership plan the practice runs itself, not an insurance policy, so there is nothing to claim and nothing to deny.
Still more than you can pay at once?
Find out what you are approved for before you come in, so you walk in already knowing your number.
We work with Cherry, Sunbit and HFD, so you can spread treatment across monthly payments and find out what you qualify for before your appointment.
Insurance and payment questions
- Do you take my dental insurance?
- Most likely. We are in network with most major PPO plans, including Delta Dental, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Guardian and Humana. The practice files with more than 200 carriers in total, so call (469) 981-1700 with your plan name and we will check before you book.
- Do you accept Medicaid and CHIP?
- Yes. Medicaid and CHIP are accepted at our Bishop Arts practice, which a lot of Dallas dental offices will not do. Bring your card to your first visit and we will verify coverage before treatment.
- What if you are out of network with my plan?
- Out of network with us? Most plans still cover a checkup and cleaning. We check your benefits before you sit down, so there is no surprise at the desk.
- Will I know what it costs before treatment starts?
- Yes. The front desk works out what your plan covers before you sit in the chair, so the cost conversation happens up front rather than at the end of the appointment.
- Can I pay for treatment over time?
- Yes. We work with Cherry, Sunbit, HFD, and you can find out what you qualify for before your appointment. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on the provider, but between those options and our own membership plan there is usually a way to make treatment work.
- What if I have no dental insurance at all?
- Our in-house membership plan covers cleanings, exams and routine x-rays from $30 a month, with 20% off other treatment. There are no deductibles, no waiting periods and no annual maximum, because there is no insurer involved.
